We have landed.
first day is Tokyo.
very overwhelming.  getting busses and all new systems.
hotel room was upgraded to the club rooms on the 21st floor. wow.

Picked up our tickets today.
sort some travel insurance out.

next duties are to purchase the JR Japan Rail Passes foe the entire time we are there.
and to book our first accommodation in Tokyo.

A new lens has been purchased for this trip. A Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM. A nice bit of pro glass. Great for those scenic shots in Japan. And getting closer to those "god damn" (to coin another's phrase) Snow Monkeys.

Can't wait to test and trial it tonight.

Now that we have our tickets and dates. It's time to decide where we want to visit.

Tokyo Disney land is on our list. ~$120 gets us two days.

Akihabara, the technology centre of Tokyo is only a km down the road from our first hotel.

Ueno park is across the road from the hotel.

Harajuku is about 20min train trip away.

Need to create a list of places to visit.

Any suggestions?
